The voting for the UDSU election begun on early morning and it will continue till 8.00 pm. The elections are being held under the unprecedented security following Delhi High Court blast on Wednesday. Eight battalions of police have been deployed in the north and south campus.

Friday's voting will seal the fate of 41 candidates in the electronic voting machines. The main contest is between BJP' Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and Congress' National Students' Union of India (NSUI). This year the left parties have fighting the polls. It is also stated that the Anna Hazare's anti graft movement will play crucial role in the election. Anna Hazare's anti-graft crusader is expected to help ABVP candidates.
