I don't follow trends and weddings for me fall into the zone of classics. The colors that I would recommend are: Red & Gold, marigold, orange, rani pink.

(a) For a contemporary look : What works best is toning down excess, long flowing lines and simplified repetitive embroidery.
(b) For a traditional look: Go in for monotones and embroidery in its purest form, steeped in heritage and tradition.
