Allahabad is hosting the First Edition of International Film Festival of Prayag (IIFP) for the first time in their history. IIFP honoured veteran actor Om Puri with the 'Lifetime Achievement Award'. A Padma Shri Awardee, Om Puri ji has given stupendous performances in movies like Ardh Satya, Arohan, Aakrosh and Narasimha in a career over 40 years. IIFP also felicitated the acclaimed filmmaker Tigmanshu Dhulia, who is known for his movies like Bullet Raja, Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster, Paan Singh Tomer and others. The film festival is held on 26, 27 and 28th of February 2015, and will screen Feature Films, Short Films, Animation Films and Documentaries from India and other countries.
