After hosting Palestine, the Malaysian football team is now gearing up for the London Olympic qualifying match against Pakistan.

Last week the Pakistan Football Federation had hosted the Palestine team for a two-match bilateral series with one game played in Karachi and the other one in Lahore.

"It is a great opportunity for us to be hosting Malaysia immediately after we organised a successful series against Palestine," PFF secretary, Ahmed Yar Khan Lodhi said.

The match to be played at the Punjab stadium is expected to draw a big crowd.

"It is great to be hosting a match in Lahore because we need to send out a clear message to the world that teams can come and play in our country without any security issues," Lodhi said.
